It emphasised the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors in driving economic development. Public-Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF) is a key platform for promoting economic growth and development, creating a conducive business environment that encouranges investment, innovation, and job creation.

AGRICULTURE INITIATIVE

Increased productivity and mechanization: Implement strategic programs to improve production and productivity, including agricultural mechanization and irrigation development.
Infrastructure and R&D: Develop infrastructure, promote agroforestry and tree crops, and invest in research and development to support the sector.
Supoort services: Strengthen extension services, farmers input support, and early warning systems for better market integration and climate resilience.
Value chain integration: Foster partnerships between farmers and commercial buyers to integrate smallholders and SMEs into value chains, enhansing their competitiveness.

MINING INITIATIVE

ETM Potential: Capitalize on Zambia`s abundant Energy Transition Minerals (ETMs) by scaling up their production through reforms in resource identification and supply chain logistics
Value addding: Encouranging value adding activities witin the mining sector by addressing barriers such as access to finance and inefficient investment climate
Fiscal management: Improve fiscal revenue management from mineral resources to support fiscal sustainability and broad-based development
Sustainable power supply: Ensure a reliable and cost-competitive clean energy supply to support increased ETM production.

TOURISM INITIATIVE

Responsible tourism: promote responsible travel to natural areas that conserve the environment and support the well-being of local communities.
Product diversification: Expand investment opportunities in services offered to tourists, such as accomodation, entertainment facilities, and safaris.
Ecotourism: Foster ecotourism by developing responsible travel to natural sites, aligning with the government`s broader green growth strategy.
Sustainable development: Integrate ecotourism into the National Green Growth Strategy to ensure that tourism development leads to improved human well-being and reduced environmental risks.
Product diversification: Shifting focus from traditional wildlife tourism to include cultural, adventure, eco-tourism, and community-based tourism
Infrastructure improvement: Investing in better roads, airports, and telecommunications to make tourist sites more accessible and to support responsible development.
